The self-retractable lifeline is a fall arrester with an independent blocking function and automatic tensioning and retracting feature for the lanyard, i.e. the retractable lanyard. The self-retractable lifeline is equipped with a galvanized steel rope, this device must be proven to have passed CE and ANSI testing. There are fall arresters available with different housings (ABS plastic and metal).
